Kirsten Tingle is a Scottish artist currently based between London and New York City. She holds a BA in Art and English from Pomona College in South California and completed a four-year certificate program in painting and sculpture at The Art Students League of New York.
Kirsten is currently completing her MA in Biodesign at Central Saint Martins in London. Her latest body of work combines art and science techniques to convey the severity of climate change to the public.
Kirsten has worked as a teaching assistant at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts and The Art Students League of New York. She has worked on and off site as an installation assistant for the 2019 Venice Biennale Icelandic Pavilion “Chromo Sapiens” by Hrafnhildur Arnardóttir/Shoplifter. She is currently on the creative team at YOUM.
She has exhibited/performed at The Chan Gallery in LA; Pioneer Works, Vent, Chashama, and Phyliss Harriman Gallery in NYC; Biocalibrate Symposia, Broadworks, and Safehouse in London; The Guidecca Satellite in Venice, Italy; The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland; and The Kyoto Arts Center in Japan.
Kirsten is an alum of the US-UK Fulbright and Sutton Trust US Program.
